Arlington, VA (Nov. 9, 2009) – Students and faculty from two Northern Virginia Westwood College campuses came together for some friendly competition recently in an effort to raise money to support breast cancer research.

The second annual event between the Arlington and Annandale campuses of Westwood College included four competitive events including basketball, softball, ultimate Frisbee and tug-of-war. The campus winning the most events was to take home the coveted Westwood Games trophy, but the event ended in a tie, and the trophy will now travel between both campuses. All proceeds raised during the event will benefit the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer organization.

As a highlight of the day, Washington Mystics player Chasity Melvin and General Manager Angela Taylor refereed the basketball game which was won by the Annandale team. All events of the Westwood College Games competition took place at Bluemont Park in Arlington, Virginia and nearly 100 students and faculty participated in the competition.

Photos from the event are available and a video can be seen on YouTube.com.
