Six Degree Programs Offer Flexibility, Convenience and Affordability
Denver, CO – With the ever-changing economic climate and busy schedules of working adults in mind, Westwood College (www.westwood.edu) today announced the creation of its School of Professional Studies (SPS). The six programs offered by SPS provide viable options for working adults to align their education with long-term career goals.
“We’re seeing an increasing demand from people who want to solidify their place in, or move into in-demand careers in business—like healthcare management and fashion merchandising,” said School of Professional Studies Dean Dr. James Dorris. “Our programs allow individuals who may have had to put their education on hold in the past to now make an investment in their education and careers without having to put their lives on hold.”
Westwood College's Professional Studies school offers a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a choice of five majors: Accounting and Financial Management, Business Management, Healthcare Management, Marketing Management, and Fashion Merchandising. Westwood’s School of Professional Studies has part time, online continuing education courses, and offers free tutoring and competitive tuition costs—crucial advantages for working adults with already hectic schedules.
The appeal for these types of programs is supported by reports from the Bureau of Labor Statistics indicating that the median annual earnings of working students 25 years and older with a bachelor’s degree was $50,856 and $63,856 for a master’s degree, versus $32,862 for their high school graduate counterparts.
