Law Inspired by Project SAVE Gains Ground

The Atlanta Northlake Campus “Students Against Violence Everywhere” (SAVE) Chapter is hopeful a law they helped inspire will get passed this year. The Greggory Savelio Law would mandate outside video surveillance at gas stations in Georgia, and is currently in legislation.

Dallas campus students help habitat for humanity

Nine students from Westwood College’s Dallas campus participated in a community service event for Habitat for Humanity last weekend. Ki Thompson, Business & Construction Management Program Chair, organized the Westwood College Work Group as part of the construction management club helped organize with the students.

Dallas campus student team wins spirit award at regional mock trial competition

The Westwood College Mock Trial Team won the Spirit Award at the 2010 American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) Regional Competition in Houston, Texas. It was the first time the Dallas campus has attended, competing against 4-year colleges such as UCLA, UT-Austin and Tulane. The Spirit Award is given for outstanding team spirit and civility in a trial situation.
