Associate Degree

When you’re deciding on a college education, the options before you will be considerable. What will you major be? How much time do you want to spend in school? What kind of degree will you earn? These questions may take time for you to answer. You may ultimately determine that the best thing for you is to complete an associate degree and start your new career in less time.

Associate degrees take approximately two years to earn. They’re a great way to earn a degree in a field that interests you and expand your employment opportunities. They are also a good stepping stone for working your way into a bachelor’s program, should you decide to continue your education.

Wondering why you should think more about an associate degree? According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2011 the median weekly earnings for an individual with an associate degree was $130 more than someone with only a high school diploma.1 Westwood College offers a variety of associate degree programs at its convenient campuses around the country, along with a selection of degrees available online:2
