Westwood College is a Cisco Networking Academy. Our technology-based programs give you the skills necessary to prepare for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) professional designation, Microsoft Certified Professional designations and various CompTIA certifications. When you graduate, you'll be fully prepared for entry-level positions in the industry, such as a Cisco network engineer,* network/systems administrator, computer systems analyst or information system developer.

Cisco Network Engineer*
- Provide design, engineering and ongoing maintenance on established local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) under the general supervision of a data communications manager
- Provide consultation, evaluation, installation and testing of network devices and network management systems in a heterogeneous multi-protocol environment
- Install, create and troubleshoot devices on fiber optic, twisted pair and broadband links
- Consult, analyze, design, install, test and recommend proper materials for a fiber optic backbone network.
Network/Systems Administrator
- Design, install and support an organization’s computer systems
- Ensure the efficient operation of the company’s data centers, maintain network hardware and software, analyze problems and monitor networks to ensure their availability to system users
- Responsible for LANs, WANs, network segments and Internet and intranet systems
- Monitor and diagnose network and server problems, develop policy and protocol and mentor staff to achieve high standards of operations and service.
Computer Systems Analyst
- Coordinate and participate in the design, development and maintenance of communications and network security systems
- Facilitate the installation, configuration and integration of network hardware and software, and communications and connectivity devices in accordance with established security needs
- Research and evaluate network hardware and software, such as routers, bridges, firewalls and communications and security protocols
- Implement, administer and troubleshoot information systems
- Formulate test procedures to ensure functionality and address problems
- Create and maintain maps of network topology

Westwood College Expands CISCO Networking Academy To Meet Growing IT Needs
Denver, CO – Westwood College - Denver North Campus (www.westwood.edu) announced that it expanded its Cisco Networking Academy with an updated three-year bachelor’s program. Information Technology: Major in CISCO Network Systems now offers a specialized approach in advanced certifications taught by certified Cisco Network professionals. Other Cisco-related degree programs taught at Westwood College have seen 95 percent of graduates finding jobs in their field of study.
