Behind every home, skyscraper and bridge are architects and architectural drafters. As a student in the Westwood College computer-aided design/architectural drafting degree program, you will use computer software to create the plans and drawings used to construct buildings. You will also develop a professional CAD degree portfolio that will help you stand out when interviewing with employers.
The Computer Aided Design/Architectural Drafting degree program at Westwood College includes training courses that help prepare you for Autodesk certification tests*, including AutoCAD® certification and Revit® certification. Autodesk AutoCAD® and Autodesk Revit® are computer-aided drafting programs used for creating 3D models, design drawings and construction documents used in construction and engineering projects, and are the most-widely used CAD programs worldwide. Due to their widespread adoption in relevant industries, there is broad demand for drafting technicians who are trained and certified in Autodesk AutoCAD® and Autodesk Revit®.
Autodesk Revit® and Autodesk AutoCAD® training courses at Westwood College can help prepare you for careers in architectural drafting, civil drafting and other related computer-aided design careers as part of the larger associate degree program. Westwood's faculty of trained professionals can help you prepare for certification and build your portfolio.
