Drafting Schools, Online CAD Courses, Architectural Drafting Degree ProgramBehind every home, skyscraper and bridge are architects and architectural drafters. As a Westwood College computer-aided design/architectural drafting student, you will use computer software to create the plans and drawings used to construct buildings. You will also develop a professional portfolio that will help you stand out when interviewing with employers.

Program features include:

  • courses that help prepare you for industry-relevant Autodesk certifications* such as AutoCAD®, Revit® and 3ds Max®
  • training in Revit®, a premiere Building Information Modeling (BIM) software that enables users to put buildings together in a virtual world
  • the creation of a professional portfolio to demonstrate skills to potential employers

AutoDesk AutoCAD® and REVIT® Training

The Computer Aided Design/Architectural Drafting degree program at Westwood College includes training courses that help prepare you for Autodesk certification tests*, including AutoCAD® certification and Revit® certification. Autodesk AutoCAD® and Autodesk Revit® are computer-aided drafting programs used for creating 3D models, design drawings and construction documents used in construction and engineering projects, and are the most-widely used CAD programs worldwide. Due to their widespread adoption in relevant industries, there is broad demand for drafting technicians who are trained and certified in Autodesk AutoCAD® and Autodesk Revit®.

Autodesk Revit® and Autodesk AutoCAD® training courses at Westwood College can help prepare you for careers in architectural drafting, civil drafting and other related computer-aided design careers as part of the larger associate degree program. Westwood's faculty of trained professionals can help you prepare for certification and build your portfolio.

    The list of SOC codes is based on Department of Education standards pulled from IPEDS CIP-SOC crosswalk.  While the Department of Education requires all job titles to be listed, Westwood College has not found that our programs prepare graduates for all job titles listed. Actual entry-level jobs for graduates in each program may vary.
