Our hotel and restaurant management associate program offers you a variety of practical experiences across the entire range of activities in the hotel and restaurant industries. Using industry-relevant software, you’ll practice customer booking, develop work schedules and plan food purchasing. You’ll also review the state and regulatory laws that apply to hotel and restaurant management, while also participating in a practical experience that often involves top-rated hotels or restaurants in the region. This degree will give you knowledge, skills and experience that you can put into action in entry-level positions, such as front desk manager, food and beverage manager or catering manager.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable occupational, health and safety regulations and laws
  • Capitalize on business opportunities in the market area by executing company marketing strategies to drive sales

Catering Manager

  • Sell and provide service for events
  • Work closely with hotel sales managers in contract negotiations and servicing groups as it relates to catering services
  • Review contracts and facilitate communications before, during and post event with pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service

Westwood College doubles number of degrees offered in Dallas and Fort Worth; Now Offers Bachelor's Degrees

Denver, CO - Westwood College (www.westwood.edu) announced today it has doubled the amount of degree programs previously offered at its Dallas and Fort Worth campuses. As part of this, both campuses will provide two bachelor’s degree programs – a first for Westwood in Texas – and three new associate degree programs in some of the state’s most in-demand and employable industries such as network management, graphic design, hotel and restaurant management, paralegal and construction management.
