Noel Levitz

A comparative survey of student responses performed by Noel-Levitz, a nationally recognized consulting firm specializing in higher education research and strategic planning, shows that students from Westwood’s 17 campuses are more satisfied than the comparison group of 124 private four-year colleges in all nine areas surveyed (see Chart 1). Especially high scores were received in the areas of faculty quality, curriculum content and instructional effectiveness. Further, Westwood’s online students were also significantly more satisfied than the comparison group of 87 national online campuses in the areas of student services, academic services and instructional services (see Chart 2).

Some of the private four-year colleges that participated in the survey include Colorado Technical University, Hawaii Pacific University, Concordia University and Eckerd College. Examples of national online colleges that participated are Colorado State University, Minnesota State College, University of Illinois, University of Houston and American InterContinental University.

Westwood also shows a healthy trend of continuous improvement in meeting students’ ever-increasing expectations with results improving in all areas from 2006-2008 and 2008-2010 (see Chart 3).
