Westwood College issued conditional certificates of approval by Texas Workforce Commission

Dallas (December 16, 2010) – The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) has issued Westwood College’s three Texas campuses Conditional Certificates of Approval allowing the college to continue to offer its programs in the state. These certificates cover Westwood’s campuses in Dallas, Ft. Worth and Houston.

The certificates were subject to several reasonable enhancements that will help increase the quality of education and career services Westwood provides to over 1,000 students in Texas. Westwood maintains full authority to enroll new students, continue its approved programs, and operate its campuses in Texas.

“On behalf of our students, we are pleased with the TWC’s decision to issue the conditional certificates to operate in Texas,” said Rick Skinner, Regional Vice President. “Westwood has a long, productive history of working with the TWC to ensure a quality, career-focused education for our students. This latest agreement reaffirms that commitment.”

Westwood College prides itself on providing students with the necessary technical and soft skills required for success in the workplace. The campuses in Texas offer associate and bachelor’s degrees in design, justice, technology, business and health care.
