Denver North Campus Triumphs in the State FBLA Competition

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) state competition earlier this month. The Westwood Business Club competitors made an excellent showing, placing in a several events. Those achieving first and second places in their events are eligible to compete in the National Competition in Nashville in July.

The event, hosted at Johnson and Wales University, brought together Colorado educational and business institutions to compete in events ranging from job interview skills to accounting tests. The weekend also included speakers and seminars on topics such as leadership skills in the new business environment and business law.

Westwood contestants not only competed in individual events, but also participated in a group event; a community service project for Denver Health Hospital. The experience was rewarding for everyone involved.
