The Westwood College – Denver North Campus is located in view of the majestic Rocky Mountains. Denver North is Westwood’s flagship campus with strong roots in the Denver community and employment market. Students have easy access to the downtown business districts, cultural activities and the I-36 high-tech corridor.

Arriving at the Denver North Campus, you’ll find a highly diverse student population, an educational staff regarded as industry experts in their chosen fields, and an outstanding academic environment. Skiing, hiking, and other recreational mountain sports are available within an hour's drive. And for sports fans, the campus is located within 10 minutes of major professional venues for the Denver Broncos, the Colorado Avalanche, the Denver Nuggets, and the Colorado Rockies! Denver's nightlife hub, LoDo (“lower downtown”), is only 15 minutes away. Part-time jobs, excellent shopping, and personal business services are all available close to the campus.

The Automotive program is accredited and evaluated by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NAFEF) and meet the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence standards of quality for the training of automobile technicians.

Denver North Maps & Transportation

 

This Colorado campus is extremely convenient for commuters and for students who take advantage of off-campus collegiate housing.

Driving Directions
The campus is located near the intersection of Interstate 25 and the Boulder Turnpike, making it accessible from all around the metro area. Major cross streets are Broadway and Conifer.  Plenty of parking is available at no cost to students.

Public Transportation
Transportation to the campus is convenient, with an RTD bus stop right across the street. Many students utilize Route 88. Additional information on bus routes can be found at www.rtd-denver.com.

Westwood College – Denver North Campus Life

At Westwood College - Denver North Campus, our degree programs have excellent facilities, including:

  • A six-bay NATEF- and ASE-certified automotive shop
  • Two complete CAAHEP approved medical labs
  • A well-appointed interior design lab
  • Two CISCO® networking labs (note: the campus is an approved CISCO Networking Academy)®
  • Three video-gaming labs
  • A complete fashion merchandising lab
  • A criminal justice suite, complete with a courtroom lab

There is also a campus café where students can grab a quick lunch or dinner while studying; learning commons; and a tutoring lab in our 80,000-square-foot, fully enclosed campus.
 
Ongoing campus activities, awards and clubs include:

  • Presidential luncheons and dinners
  • Alpha Beta Kappa Honor Society
  • President’s List and Dean's List
  • Perfect attendance awards
  • Gaming tournaments
  • On-campus job fairs
  • Graduation ceremonies

Students participate in various community service learning projects such as homeland security events, 9NEWS Health Fairs, and the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Westwood also sponsors annual events such as Lance Armstrong's Race for the Cure and election polling.

Westwood College Expands CISCO Networking Academy To Meet Growing IT Needs

Denver, CO – Westwood College - Denver North Campus (www.westwood.edu) announced that it expanded its Cisco Networking Academy with an updated three-year bachelor’s program. Information Technology: Major in CISCO Network Systems now offers a specialized approach in advanced certifications taught by certified Cisco Network professionals. Other Cisco-related degree programs taught at Westwood College have seen 95 percent of graduates finding jobs in their field of study.
