Quick Tips -- Career Builders
Know Your Bosses' Expectations
Don't assume you know what is important to them. Ask
what they need from you; what they're expecting, and ask
for feedback on your performance regularly. Managers should
provide regular feedback, but many don't. Don't wait for an
annual performance appraisal to learn how you're being
perceived.
Ask for More
If you want experience doing different work or working in
another department, ask for special projects that will allow
you to get additional experience. You'll be seen as someone
who takes initiative and is interested in learning more. This
is always a good thing.

Know When It's Time to Go
If you sense that you're beginning to become dissatisfied with
your current job, talk to your boss about other opportunities
within the company. If shifting your current priorities, or
moving to another job doesn't seem promising, start looking
elsewhere.
Don't Stay at A Job Until You're Miserable
Your performance will drop, as will your motivation, making getting that next job more challenging.
