It is free to both employer and job seeker. You can build and post your resume. And the site is linked to every employment office, outplacement office and college in the country.

Careerbuilder.com Careerbuilder is the largest "integrated recruitment solution" produced by the top three newspaper companies: Gannett, Knight Ridder, and the Tribune. Job seekers define specific criteria and search more than 400,000 continuously updated jobs, representing more than 25,000 employers in every industry and field. You can post up to 5 resume versions with a choice of 3 different privacy options.

DICE Covers over 54,000 high tech contract, consulting and permanent jobs in the US, Canada, and international locales. You can search by keyword, state, type of job or area code, or you can also do a metro search, or search by company. The career resources including training and certification, consultant tools, industry news, and foreign placement information are an added value.

 

 

Direct Employers: Employment Search Engine What is different about this site is the opportunity for job seekers to apply directly to an employer from the company's website. You don't have to register with a third-party site; your resume goes directly into the employer's software program for more efficient management (less likely to get lost in a queue coming from a job board) CareerXroads, a leading reference guide to job sites, reports that of all the hires from the Internet, 67.9% come directly from company web sites.

HotJobs A subsidiary of Yahoo!, HotJobs.com is on everyone's top 10 job posting lists. A megalist, jobs are easily searched by targeted job category, by company, staffing firm, U.S. or international location. Also offers career advice and industry news as well as a start-up channel that highlights early stage and startup companies looking for entrepreneurial candidates. You can post your resume and employ a job agent. Straightforward, user-friendly.

Monster.com Over a million jobs, 800, 000 in the U.S., can be searched by location, job category, or keyword, sorted by date and relevance, saved for a job agent that will search and email matches to you. Can register for "My Monster," which offers resume posting and customized information based on your profile. Monster is divided into communities: administration, campus, executive, finance, health care, internet, human resources, international, mid-career, retail, sales, technology, work abroad, and self-employment, all featuring relevant articles. Chief Monster focuses on the senior executive level opportunities.
