High school educators

Westwood College is committed to supporting high school educators. It’s our goal to help you educate students about the importance of post-secondary education. Whether they choose a vocational school, a community college, a university or a career college, it’s critical that as many students as possible find a place where they can succeed.

Westwood College's high school outreach program consists of:

Scholarships

Westwood has a high school scholarship program that recognizes motivated high school seniors and encourages their pursuit of advanced career education in the field of their choice. Two seniors per high school may each receive a $1,500 Westwood scholarship. To qualify, applicants must be 2009 high school seniors or GED recipients. They must have enrolled in a Westwood degree program and must have a grade point average of 3.0. To apply, please download a scholarship application form.

Field trips

Many of your students may doubt they can succeed in college, especially in a large university setting. For students who need more individual attention, smaller class sizes and hands-on learning, Westwood is the ideal choice. We invite you to set up a student field trip to the Westwood campus nearest you. Your students can walk the halls and talk to instructors and staff. Sometimes making the right choice means seeing for yourself that there’s a place where you can succeed.

Fellowships for school staff

At Westwood, we know that our hands-on career focus helps students succeed. In fact, we believe so strongly in our approach that we offer complimentary courses to educators. Take a look at our fellowship information for more details.
