A:  Tuition depends on the degree program and location. Financial aid is available to those that qualify.  If you are determined to be a dependent according to federal government guidelines, it will be necessary for our student financing staff to have a conversation with your parents to discuss how financial aid works. Q:  How does financial aid work and how much can I qualify for?
A:  Federal financial aid is available to those that qualify. By filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you may qualify for a Pell Grant and/or Stafford Student Loan. Your parents can also apply for a PLUS (Parent) Loan and utilize other resources to ensure you explore all options for funding your education with little or no current outlay.  After you apply, Westwood will set up a phone conference to discuss all your financial aid options with you and your parent(s).  No matter what student financing you might need, our financing specialists help you navigate all the options.  You can learn more by visiting our student financing section.

Q:  Why is Westwood College a good choice for me?
A:  Westwood is a private career-focused degree-granting college. Class sizes are small and the education is hands-on.  You will be assigned a Success Team of advisors who will guide you through the enrollment process and continue to work with you until you've graduated and started a career in your field of study. This will help ensure your success in completing your degree and launching your career. For more great reasons to attend Westwood check out our Why Westwood section.

Q:  How much money can I make after I graduate?
A:  According to census and government statistics, by completing your degree you will be increasing your income potential as opposed to just having your high school diploma. Specific income potential depends on the degree that you obtain. To explore this in more depth you can visit the Career Services department at one of our campuses. This will allow us to help you determine the right career choice for you as well as provide salary ranges for related entry-level positions.

Q:  How do online classes work?
A: Once enrolled in one of our online programs you will be given a user name and password to allow you to log-in and attend class. There is not a specific time that you must be logged in; however, you must submit all homework and discussion posts by Sunday each week. Class sizes are limited to ensure you have one-on-one attention from the instructor. You will still receive books as well as have online lectures, videos and reading assignments in your virtual classroom. Discussion boards are an important component of being an online student as that becomes the main venue for interaction with your instructor and classmates. Visit our online learning section to learn more.

Q: What is a career-focused college?
A: A career-focused college is a college that focuses more strongly on giving students the education they need to succeed in their career. We believe it is our job to help prepare students for a career. While general education courses are included in our programs, it’s the hands-on career training you’ll receive as a Westwood student that will help make you successful upon graduation.
