Career College Association Names Riedinger to Board of Directors
Denver, Colo. (July 20, 2007) - The Career College Association (CCA) recently named Alta College's Chairman of the Board Kirk Riedinger to CCA's 2007-2008 Board of Directors. Riedinger joins three others newly elected to the board and four individuals re-elected to their officer positions.
"I am delighted to serve under such a talented group of executives," said CCA President Harris N. Miller. "Together, we share the vision that higher education in America is changing and that career education is the most direct path to workforce competitiveness for Americans."
Riedinger co-founded Alta Colleges and currently serves as the chair of its board of directors. He has also served as president of Alta Colleges as well as chairman, during which time he was responsible for developing and managing the company's sales, marketing, and acquisitions.
Riedinger has served as a member of the Governor's Commission on Science and Technology and the Board Nominating Committee of the Career College Association. He was a finalist in the Rocky Mountain Region Entrepreneur of the Year in 2002 and is a member of the Mile High United Way Tocqueville Society. He earned his BA in International Relations from Stanford University and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
CCA is a voluntary membership organization of private postsecondary schools, institutes, colleges and university that provide career specific programs. It has more than 1,400 members that educate and support over one million students each year for employment in over 200 occupational fields.
